I’m having lots of Bamboo Fun type of fun!

October 25, 2007 | Posted in Technology | 9 Comments

Today, the skies were pretty gloomy. It rained for a good part of the day. As I was walking home, dodging puddles and making sure my sneakers didn’t get too muddy (they’re two-year-old running shoes, so they’re in pretty bad condition already and I need to get new shoes in the near future), I saw a box package on my door step.

I still had a street to walk before I reached my home, but I sprinted quickly towards the box, even stepping over my neighbor’s newly laid cement (that had a warning sign: NOT TO TOUCH) by accident and running up the lawn. I bent down and studied the package for a good bit–it was from some technology company, but it had no indicator of what was inside. I had an idea though.

I threw open the door and called a greeting to my parents, both of who had decided to stay home for the day for different reasons. My dad came to greet me, a question on the tip of his tongue, but as soon as he saw the package, he exclaimed, “It already came?!”

I grinned from ear to ear as a response and went into the kitchen to get a pen. I tore through the tape with my trusty writing tool, threw away a giant brown sheet of paper, and saw my Bamboo Fun box at the bottom of the package.

Bamboo Fun
It’s the tablet that replaced Wacom’s Graphire tablet! My dad only just ordered this on the 21st as a birthday (that’s only two days away) present to me. My dad actually asked, “What would you like for your birthday?”"Hm…a tablet? Like Tina’s?” (my sister had received a tablet–the Wacom Graphire–for her birthday just last month; I was the one who suggested it). I thought that it was going to arrive a little later, but it arrived quite quickly (four days from ordering date, which is very fast in my opinion).I love this tablet very much! Although it does take a little getting used to; I keep on thinking it’s like a mouse, which it really isn’t. I’ll definately be using it quite a lot in the future!

Hey there Yingna,

I feel like getting a tablet weeee. (Ignore the tags if they turn out.)

But hey, are you suggesting that your Bamboo Fun is better than your Wacom’s Graphire tablet? I have no idea about the brands.

Thanks in advance. :)

I saw that a bit ago and I was tempted to buy it on the spot. However, reason kicked me in the face and I figure I should wait until I read some reviews. Please let me/us know how it’s working out for you! I might be getting some kind of tablet for Christmas, but I don’t know.

Wow that tablet looks a lot like the one I have. Mine’s a Bamboo Fun Wacom tablet. I got mine recently though - well, not quite, but a lot more recently than 8 months ago. You just gave me a reason to blog. I shall update this weekend for sure.

Would you like to respond?
