Learning to drive
I finally got my permit! I know it’s really late compared to other people, but I’m catching up. I’ll most likely be getting my license during the winter break of college, because I’ll be old enough to get a senior license then.
My dad is teaching me how to drive. I guess that has its pros and cons. I’m learning to drive stick shift, unlike others who learn to drive automatic. My dad says that stick shift is safer, though my sister says that the automatic has advanced far enough to be as safe as the stick shift. My sister also learned the stick shift, but she still doesn’t have her license yet. She’s getting it this summer.
I still have trouble with the clutch. More than once, I’ve started the car swaying back and forth with jagged movements. My dad, who’s sitting next to me, always seems to expect that I’ll crash the car some time. Well, at least I’m pretty good at turns. Although, my parking really, truly sucks. Oh well, I’ve only had two hours of driving lessons so far. I hope I improve quickly.

Lmao. Learning how to drive is always fun. Unfortunately (or perhaps it was fortunate), learning how to drive and getting my permit was a required class in high school for me. They also only provided one stick shift car, so of course I didn’t want to be Miss Lucky with it. However, my brother seems to like driving stick shifts better…then again, he’s one of those obsessive street racer people (or he’s madly in love with it anyway). Best of luck with learning how to drive!! I had my permit for 3 years before I finally went and got my license….and that was after I failed the test twice beforehand too. Lol.
