Computers and perhaps an internship
I finally decided on the notebook I would buy for college! I purchased the Thinkpad T61 today. I decided on it because with my discount through my university, I felt I was getting more bang for my buck going with a Thinkpad than with an HP. I was a little hesitant after I went to Office Depot yesterday to take a look at any Thinkpads. I saw one Thinkpad R61, which had a matte screen and it was broken (the computer wouldn’t start up). Compared with all the other notebooks which looked shiny and high-tech, the Thinkpad looked kind of last generation. But, I know that Thinkpads are known for their quality parts and reliability, so I put the cover aside. The saying “don’t judge a book by its cover” is very hard to follow, but I guess I would have to follow it in this case.
In other news, I had sent out my resume and a cover letter to a local website development company Thursday of last week. I followed up with a phone call today and I had an interview scheduled! It’ll be on the Thursday of this week. I’m very excited! I hope I get this paid internship. I would finally have something to do over the summer and something that I would be more than happy to learn about.
Also, I watched Wall-E. Terrific movie–I highly recommend it. I believe the director was the same as the one who directed Finding Nemo. I never understood why people liked Finding Nemo so much–I thought it was only an okay movie, and I even grew bored at times. But Wall-E is a very cute and sweet film!

Good luck! I just applied for something like that too.
