Olympics 2008 was amazing!

I thought the Beijing 2008 Olympics was simply amazing! The opening and closing ceremonies were both very well planned and executed–this will definitely go down in history. I loved how these two weeks that come only once every four years help create a bit of peace around the world and people can just enjoy watching athletes trying their hardest doing what they do. The 4×100M swimming relay was one of the very exciting events that I saw–live. I loved watching the events live, but I was always disappointed when NBC held events that had occurred half a day ago just to show at primetime. It takes the excitement away from it, because you know who’s going to win what. But overall, the Olympics coverage was pretty good.

I’m interested to see how the London 2012 Olympics will be. How will their ceremonies be? The style of the London artists in the closing ceremony was definitely very different from the Beijing Olympics. It was more of the hip, hop cultural aspect when the Chinese was about the tradition mixed with technology. I am interested to see how critics will address such constrasting styles.
