The above is one of my favorite quotes. Optimism and kindness are two virtues that I strive to possess, even though little roadblocks may be thrown in randomly every day.
I descend from first generation immigrants of mainland Chinese origin. To be specific, I am of Hakka (客家) descent. As a daughter from first generation immigrants, I grew up learning the importance of hard work and how diligence and studies will create wonderful opportunities in a land that previous ancestors had not visited. Thus, I am similar to many other second generation Chinese immigrants who have a primary focus on studies during the years until college.
However, my interests do not only stretch to my studies and then end. I always like to explore new things and taste new experiences. As a student, school offers a variety of opportunities through a number of activities, which I am truly grateful for. But I also pursue website designing, website developing, teaching, and other leadership positions
